Arts Week at Indiana University

In spring of 2012, I collaborated with students in the arts administration department at IU to develop a strategic social media marketing plan for Arts Week at Indiana University.  Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Youtube,  Google Analytics, and a Mobile App for Androids and iPhones were utilized to execute the strategic marketing plan.

Arts Week is a celebration of the rich, vibrant arts that abound on the Indiana University campus and in the greater Bloomington community. Held annually for nearly 30 years, this new month-long celebration showcases the diversity of arts on campus and in our community. From live stage performances, music, theatre, film, dance, and visual arts exhibits held in some of the best arts venues in the country to improv flash mobs and impromptu concerts scattered about Indiana University’s beautiful campus. Arts Week celebrates both the traditional and the unexpected.

Arts Week 2012’s goal is to provide gateway experiences to the arts by bringing the arts and the artists to new audiences—whether that’s introducing a jazz musician to opera, an elite athlete to Chinese paper cuts, an IT professional to contemporary dance, or a philosopher to Caribbean steel pan music.
